PASA's Going Whole Hog

What: Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture's Fall Harvest Dinner

When: October 6th, 2005

Where: Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, PA

Cost: Ticket prices for the dinner begin at $45 and include a selection of fine Pennsylvania wines, beers, ciders and fruit shrub sparklers.

Reservations: A complete invitation and menu are available at www.pasafarming.org or call the PASA office to make a reservation: (412) 697-0411.

Executive Chef Rob Coyne has designed a spectacular menu showcasing the array of food products grown and raised locally, including whole hog: spit-roasted, Cuban-style.

Everything from Apples (Heirloom Apple Crisp) to Zucchini (Carrot-Zucchini Cake with Goat Cheese Icing) will come from farms within miles of the W&J kitchens, not to mention bushels of just-picked eggplants, tomatoes, corn, peppers, herbs, potatoes and greens for the Vegetarian Moussaka, Grilled Vegetable Salad and Tortellini Primavera.

What a feast! What a celebration! What a good cause! Don’t miss it.
