On September 28th and 29th, 2007, Pittsburgh will be one of only twenty U.S. cities to host the
James Beard Foundation’s Taste America . It is a national food festival celebrating the world-renowned culinary organization’s 20th Anniversary and the bounty and diversity of American cuisine.
Only 70 tickets are available for the Friday event. Be certain that the elegant food will be fresh, mostly local and beautifully prepared and plated. Only 70 tickets are available for this event. Wine Tasting and Benefit Dinner to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of The James Beard Foundation prepared by Chef Thomas Keller of The French Laundry, Bouchon, Bouchon Las Vegas and Per Se.
Guest Sommelier: James Hayes, Head Sommelier, Per Se
The Duquesne Club, 325 Sixth Avenue, Pittsburgh
Wine Tasting at 6:00 p.m. Cocktails at 7:15 p.m. Dinner, of five courses with wine, to follow.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit Pittsburgh Meals on Wheels.
Tickets for wine tasting: $300 for each person

Saturday, September 29th:
A Free day of culinary events featuring cooking demonstrations and cookbook signings by Celebrity Chef Thomas Keller of The French Laundry in Napa, children's educational activities, and tastings of artisanal products by Mediterra Bakehouse, Elysian Fields Farm and Three Sisters Farm.
This event will feature Elysian Fields lamb farmer Keith Martin along with Chef Keller having a discussion of "farm to table."
