WHAT: Canning Swap and Pickle Judging Contest

WHERE: NEW Pittsburgh Public Market, 24th Street at Penn Avenue, The Strip District Cost: $5 per entry for various activities, see below. REGISTER:
Tickets and registration will be handled by the Pittsburgh Canning Exchange. Register by clicking "Register Now" below. Choose among these $5 options:
Canning Swap Attendee--$5
One ticket to trade at the Canning Swap. Bring as many jars of home-canned food as you like to trade, with a printed recipe for each jar. The Canning Swap starts at 11:30; arrive at 11 AM to set up.
A spot in the Pickle Contest to see if your home-canned pickles will come out on top! Bring 2 jars of pickles (one for the judges, one for the attendees to sample) at 10:30 AM on November 3rd to enter for judging; the results will be announced at 12:30. In between, you'll get to taste all the pickles in the contest and other eats from The Crested Duck Charcuterie!

Tell me more about the Pickle Contest. What should I bring? What else do I need to know?
Plan on bringing two jars of pickles that are labeled with pickle type and your name at 10:30 AM on the 3rd. Our judges will carefully taste all of the entries and a winner will be announced at 12:30. Look out for an email with more information about the Pickle Contest about one week before the event.
Can I bring only cucumber pickles, or anything pickled? Anything pickled!
