PASA's State-wide Grass-Fed Beef Burger Taste-Off and a Beef Butchering Master Class co-sponsored by SFP, at Jamison Farm in Latrobe.
Burger Picnic Saturday at the Farm.
Sunday Aug. 29:
Chicken: The Farmer's Wife/Green Circle Farm Demo: humane killing. Plucking, cleaning, preparing for cooking. Organic picnic follows.
Saturday, Oct. 30:
Pork: Strip District Meats' Ray Turkas Jr. will demo butchery of a Heilman half hog. Meal afterward at Ray's Cafe next door.
Date TBA:
Lamb: Halal and Kosher. Butchering skill and tradition. Salem's Market in the Strip.
Lamb roast follows at the market.
